Here’s a list of recent projects I’ve been working on:

MBT Petroleum

• Recreation of logo from low-res reference for print purposes
• Concepts for a revamp of www.mbtpetroleum.co.za

I was recently contacted by Bryam Amm, on old ex-USKO colleague, who asked me to try recreate a logo for a client of his, working from a low resolution image as the previous designer was no longer available to do the job. Since then I’ve discussed doing some website concepts for their website as well.

Tools used so far: Corel Draw 10, Adobe Photoshop CS

John and Miranda Wedding Photography

• Concepts for a web portal and portfolio

John is a fellow Mason and we share an interest in photography. We’ve discussed his needs for his own website as the services he is currently using do not meet his needs and he battles to get regular updates done.

Tellumat Mobile Division

• Concepts for MTN rebranding of M850 phone tender

I do semi-regular work for the Mobile division at Tellumat (Pty) Ltd and recently was asked to rebrand their M850 series phone in the MTN colour scheme for a branding tender.

Bazuin’s Sword Academy

• Finalising of site layout and content
• Implementing photo gallery and forums

Maarten Bazuin, my good friend and kenjutsu instructor, asked me to help him put together a simple site where he can host some articles, photos and lessons for his sword academy. The initial site is up and running and I am busy implementing forums and an interactive gallery.

Tools used so far: Adobe Photoshop CS, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004, PHP, MySQL.

Alphen Marketing

• Revamp of original site at www.alphenmarketing.co.za

I designed the original Alphen Marketing site when I first began freelancing in 2002, so it’s only fitting that after 4 years we give it a bit of a facelift.
